Job Description
Our client, a leading manufacturer of large cranes in Ireland, is seeking two key positions: a Crane Service Engineer and a Maintenance Technician to join their team at their state-of-the-art facility in County Down.
Crane Service Engineer (ref: B32-T3388)
This role reports to the Service Manager and involves working as a field service engineer, responding to breakdowns, troubleshooting, and repairs within the Crane Division.
This position also encompasses LEEA inspections and insurance inspections.
A strong foundation in both mechanical and electrical experience is required for tasks such as rope and bearing changes, replacing contactors or load cells, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Working at heights and utilizing Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPS) are essential skills for this role.
This position may require extended hours of work, including overtime, making it suitable for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments.
Requirements:
* A time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a 3rd level qualification is required.
* Large crane experience is preferred but not essential.
* Good experience with heavy industrial plant and machinery is advantageous.
* Electrical Health and Safety knowledge is necessary.
* Happiness working at heights and proficiency in MEWPS usage are beneficial.
This role demands significant travel throughout Ireland due to the company's extensive coverage.

Maintenance Technician Mon-Fri (ref: B32-S3501)
This multi-skilled Maintenance Technician will be part of an established team at the state-of-the-art facility in County Down.
The primary objective is to minimize equipment breakdowns through routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
This Monday-to-Friday role occasionally includes overtime on Saturdays.
Candidates will be responsible for maintaining a range of equipment, including Kaltenbach Saws, Peddinghaus Drill lines, Ficep Flat Line, and others.
The ideal candidate should reside locally in South Down, preferably from the Newcastle/ Castlewellan area.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
* A qualified mechanically biased engineer with some electrical experience and knowledge.
* Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
* The ability to change chains or bearings would be advantageous.
* A can-do attitude and effective team member.
