Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services is seeking a motivated Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a group of operatives dedicated to the upkeep and maintenance of the Training Estate facilities. Typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.
We are looking for someone with experience working in a Facilities Management industry or leading a high-performing team in a similar environment.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist the Team Supervisor with daily operations
* Lead and manage a team, acting as their primary point of contact for task allocation and performance management.
* Play an active role - 80% of your time will involve working alongside your team
* Coach team members on waste reduction, cleaning, and maintenance
* Undertake cleaning duties within facilities and accommodation blocks
* Oversee stock levels, ensuring materials and supplies are managed efficiently
* Carry out grounds maintenance tasks
* Conduct general building maintenance tasks
* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
* Complete all necessary documentation using both IT and paper-based systems
* Perform additional tasks as needed to support the overall success of the team
The Ideal Candidate
* Knowledge of Soft Facilities Management Services
* Previous Leadership experience is preferred
* General experience in housekeeping, building and grounds maintenance
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
* Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases
* Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced team environment
* Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
* A proactive approach to learning and personal development
* A valid UK driving licence is essential to carry out the duties of this role
