We are excited to be working with a Children's Network Disability Team in Longford to fill this Behavioural Therapist position.
Role Description
The Behavioural Specialist will conduct Functional Assessments, develop Multi-Element Behaviour Support Plans, teach new skills, and improve the overall quality of life for individuals with challenging behaviour.
This role will promote Positive Behaviour Support across the organization by quality-checking and improving Personal Plans.
Responsibilities
* Provide goal-focused therapeutic support to children and young people in collaboration with their families.
* Maintain accurate therapy records of all therapeutic activity.
* Understand and follow all child protection safeguarding procedures.
* Liaise and consult with other professionals as needed.
* Operate within service policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* Participate in team meetings and attend other meetings as required.
* Work on specific tasks related to service development and expansion.
Requirements
* A recognised qualification in Behavioural Therapy with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience, or equivalent.
* Experience working with clients with diverse clinical presentations.
* Experience working with young people with various needs.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise own work.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent knowledge and experience of learning disabilities.
