Clinical Nurse Specialist in Mental Health Intellectual Disability37.50 hours per week, Permanent ContractLocation: The provision of a person-centred service requires the post holder to be flexible in terms of work location and provide supports that may be clinic-based, domiciliary, day service-based, or in other settings depending on the needs of the particular case.Role Description:The CNS MHID is a member of the Cheeverstown MDT team providing direct specialist nursing care to individuals with a dual diagnosis of Intellectual Disability and mental health diagnosis.Eligibility Criteria:Qualifications:Be a registered RNID or RPN on the NMBI register of Nurses and Midwives in which the application is being made or, in exceptional circumstances, which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, be registered in another Division of the register of Nurses and Midwives.A minimum of three years post-registration (of which two must be in the specialised MHID area).Have undertaken formal recognised post-registration education in the specialist area of Mental Health, Positive Behaviour Support, or a related area at Higher Diploma level or equivalent (level 8) on the NQAI framework.Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.Possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of mental health and the various healthcare needs of people with Intellectual Disability.Full clean driving licence and access to a car.Experience of working as part of a team and commitment to building on their role in a community and social-based model.Have the ability to enable and support people to achieve their goals through quality person-centred services.Good organisational skills.Strong interest and ability in providing social supports to maximise each person's quality of life and enable them to have a meaningful day every day.Salary will be reflective of qualifications and level of experience as part of the HSE consolidated salary scales.The closing date for receipt of applications is: Monday 24th March 2025CHEEVERSTOWN HOUSE IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES EMPLOYER
