The Role
* To provide ongoing day to day support to the business to ensure the operational services provided by TCS comply with Financial Crime Prevention controls.
* Manage a team of analysts to ensure timely review of transactional monitoring alerts.
* Assess and review fraud frameworks, including formulating and updating fraud policies, procedures, systems, and controls to help lead the focus on fraud-related risk.
* Provide comprehensive advice and guidance to other areas of the business to support financial crime prevention.
* Undertake investigations and respond to fraud related queries from customers and other financial institutions.
* Review accounts and analyse transactions, identify concerns of potential fraud, money laundering and terrorist financing activity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the review transaction monitoring alerts in line with prescribed procedures.
* Ensure alerts are distributed and managed by Financial Crime Prevention team.
* Provide guidance to team members on more complex scenarios to ensure investigations are complete and thorough.
* Ensure timely and thorough investigations of the individual alerts to determine if there is a potential suspicious transaction involved.
* Follow the recommended standard investigation steps - assess if there is anything else unusual about a transaction, particularly based on experience of previous transactions.
* Assess the transaction in the context of previous transactions and the client’s business/purpose of the account – if necessary, review the client file.
* Assess the relevance of the geographies of the transactions. Where there are grounds for suspicion or a requirement for guidance in relation to an alert, escalate in line with the procedures.
* Create and maintain accurate and concise records of all investigations undertaken including details on the rationale for any decisions made.
Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
* Detailed knowledge of pension rules, financial transactions and financial crime prevention practices.
* Strong analytical skills and a critical thinker that pays attention to details.
* Previous experience in Transaction Monitoring is of great advantage.
* Ability to manage a team.
* A sound knowledge of Automatic Enrolment requirements and processes.
* MS Office Proficient.
* Be able to work independently.
* Demonstrable knowledge of AML policies and procedures including Sanctions, Anti-bribery and Corruption used to address financial crime risks and application of a risk-based approach.
* Understanding of financial crime risks and controls.
* A high level of attention to detail and experience following strict policies and procedures.
* An ability to balance high productivity with high quality of work.
* Demonstrate an inquisitive nature which is inclined to investigate, identify issues and solve problems.
