Responsibilities As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving cost efficiency, financial accuracy, and operational insights.
Key responsibilities include: Manufacturing Accounting: Create and review journal entries to ensure compliance with US GAAP and corporate policies.
Variance Analysis: Analyze and track Purchase Price Variance (PPV), production, and absorption variances.
Investigate significant deviations.
Standard Costing: Manage product costing in SAP, including updates to Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings.
Financial Reporting: Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and detailed financial analyses.
Ensure timely reporting to corporate headquarters.
Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance material costing and promote consistency in cost accounting practices.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights to drive performance and decision-making.
Transfer Pricing and Compliance: Oversee transfer pricing processes and assist in statutory accounts preparation and regulatory filings.
Audit Coordination: Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Strategic Support: Contribute to site strategy discussions, offering data-driven insights to support organizational goals.
Requirements A recognized professional accounting qualification (CIMA or equivalent).
3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, ideally in manufacturing within a multinational environment.
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (US GAAP/IFRS) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
Familiarity with SAP and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Experience with lean methodologies and a continuous improvement mindset.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
