Squarespace's Help Experience team is looking for a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer to lead technical initiatives based in our Dublin office. You will work directly with Staff Engineers, Data Analysts, and the Customer Operations department to handle complex technical challenges, leveraging Squarespace's expanding Cloud-native footprint and cutting-edge technologies like Generative AI.
The Help Experience team's mission is to empower our customers' business growth through an integrated support platform. This platform combines personalized self-help guidance with one-on-one support, offering the essential tools and assistance our customers need to succeed, while enhancing operational efficiency.
As a Senior Engineer on Help Experience, you'll be working with Product and Design to build new applications, add new features to existing applications and maintain the health of our diverse tech stack. You'll be expected to lead months-long initiatives to help our Customer Operations advisors and work closely with the Engineering Manager to drive technical improvements and develop the team's technical strategy.
You will report to the Engineering Team Manager of the Help Experience team who is based in our NYC office. This is a hybrid role working from our Dublin, Ireland office 3 days per week. This is a geographically dispersed team between NYC and Dublin.
You'll Get To…
1. Build out and improve customer-facing support products and services end-to-end
2. Collaborate with engineers, designers and product owners to create a user-focused experience
3. Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code, documentation, software design, RFCs)

Who We're Looking For
6. 6+ years of experience programming with Javascript required (We use React)
7. 4-6 years of backend object-oriented programming skills (We mainly use Python with some Java)
8. 6 to 10+ years of experience building reliable, usable, and performant full stack applications
9. Experience using different types of datastores such as Postgres, Mongo, Redis, and Elasticsearch
10. An understanding of best practices across software lifecycle, from development to deployment and testing
11. Interest in collaboration through code reviews and technical discussions
