About the Role
As an Electrical Site Inspector, you will bring strong technical expertise in commercial electrical installations, project management, site inspections, installation quality checks and responsibility for overseeing electrical installations. You should have:
A minimum of 5 years’ post receipt of Electrical Senior Trades qualification experience.
Experience of site supervision and responsibility for overseeing electrical installations in commercial and industrial applications.
A Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technician or a Senior Electrical Trades qualification.
Extensive knowledge of IS 10101 National Rules for Electrical Installations and Building Regulations relating to electrical installations.
Experience running commercial electrical projects and working on commercial installations.
Experience interacting with project Design Teams and project delivery teams.
Proficient in the use of technology and software, such as Microsoft Office, Teams etc.
Experience in the use of Navis Works would also be an advantage.
The role will include involvement on multiple projects, typically with a number of site inspections to be carried out at different sites each week. In between visits you will be compiling reports and providing briefings to the Project Design Engineers. The role will include office based functions and site visits, but is not a site based role.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out site inspections of ongoing installations.
Attend site Technical meetings where appropriate
Carry out site inspections in line with Inspection Plans.
Prepare detailed site reports and verify installations against agreed designs and technical submitting.
Work alongside Project Design Engineers to respond to technical queries and ensure contractors follow design specifications.
Work alongside Project Design Engineers to review contractors technical submittals.
Develop inspection plans with designers and conduct inspections at key project stages.
Monitor installation quality and project progress.
Main Duties
Support electrical project engineers.
Assist in surveys of electrical projects.
Carry out site inspections.
Prepare reports.
