A full-time permanent position has arisen for the role of Clinic Supervisor in Vhi Galway Satellite Clinic. The Vhi Galway Satellite Clinic will be an MDT delivered clinic providing urgent care, primary care, homecare and screening to Vhi members.
The Clinic Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management and running of the Galway Satellite Clinic. The role combines the clinical and business aspects of healthcare to ensure the clinic operates efficiently and provides quality patient care. The position provides leadership and direction to the MDT in the provision high quality, cost-effective care.

Role Purpose
* Attend to the day-to-day management of the clinic.
* Audit of clinical practices to ensure high quality care.
* Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff regarding the scheduling and staffing of clinics.
* Hiring, onboarding and evaluating staff members.
* Ensure staff comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
* Efficient management of human and fiscal resources.
* Participate in the identification, development and delivery of induction, education, training and developmental programmes for nursing and non-nursing staff.
* Investigate and resolve patient complaints.
* Communicate and work with the operations lead and clinical leads to deliver high quality cost efficient service.
* Evaluate clinic room utilisation and makes recommendation for improvement.
* Facilitate co-ordination, co-operation and liaison across other healthcare teams and programmes within Vhi Health & Wellbeing and beyond.
* Promote and develop a culture of quality and safety in line with the Vhi Health & Wellbeing QSR Framework and the Vhi Health & Wellbeing strategic objectives.
* Working with National Ops Lead, Clinical Directors and Clinical Leads for Core Primary Care and Urgent Care services to develop and evolve the scope of practice. Provide expert guidance and support to teams and leadership in the facilities to address facility-level performance / service delivery issues.
* Accountable for roster development, appointment scheduling and effective resource utilization to optimize performance against agreed KPIs.

Education & Experience
* Be a registered general nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
* MSc in Healthcare or Management related area.
* 7 years post registration experience within the last 9 years.
* 2 years management experience at Clinical Nurse Manager 2 level or above.
* Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice.
* Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.
* Must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
