Junior Electrical Project Engineer - M&E Contractor

Our client is a multi-disciplinary Building services contractor with extensive expertise in key areas of commercial, industrial, retail, and healthcare. They are looking for a Junior Electrical Project Engineer with a minimum of 2+ years of Irish post-graduate experience. The ideal candidate will grow into a Senior Project Manager role. Projects will be based in Dublin and the surrounding areas along the M9 corridor.
Be advised that only Irish, EU, UK, Stamp 4, or Stamp 1G applicants will be considered as there is no sponsorship opportunity for this role. All applicants must currently be residing in the Republic of Ireland.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertaking design review of technical drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with industry standards.
2. Ensuring works are installed in accordance with project specifications and to the project QA plan.
3. Developing various engineering solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches for client approval.
4. Compliance to Design/IFC specifications and drawings including management of Requests for Information (RFI) for issuing to the client.
5. Using engineering software tools such as Dialux or Relux, Amtech Pro Design, Navisworks, BIM, Procore, etc.
6. Reviewing coordinated construction drawings and documents, preparing and monitoring technical submittals for client approval.
7. Reviewing specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specifications.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or similar qualification.
2. 2+ years' experience in a similar role - project engineering, electrical engineering experience gained in building services, etc.
3. Excellent IT skills in AutoCAD, Navisworks or Revit, Microsoft Office.
4. Demonstrable knowledge of the current electrical, fire alarm, and emergency lighting standards within Ireland.
5. Excellent diagnostic skills and engineering problem-solving skills.
6. Strong communication skills and a team player.
