POSITION SUMMARYTech and Digital Laboratory (Lab) system platform lead will partner with Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) business to drive the design, deployment and support of global GMS Lab systems that fall within their assigned capability tower supporting to achieve our GMS Digital Transformation to ‘Connect Site”.The role requires strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, working in a matrix organization and strong domain knowledge. Strategically acting as the Zoetis Tech&Digital (ZTD) Business Partner for their assigned capability tower. Works closely with Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD) GMS teams and other ZTD functions including the Application Delivery and Operations, Digital & Data Analytics (DDA), 3rd party Providers, IT Compliance, Infrastructure, and Project Management Office to plan, define, execute, and operate new and enhanced system capabilities and related projects.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Percent of Time -25%Platform Lead will work within an established operating model for ZTD GMS Global Systems, overseeing the end to end of Deploy, Enhance and Run Operations. This includes working with designated MSP or the India Capability Team within a ‘follow the sun’ support model.Project accountability: act as a Project manager, coordinates and ensures timely execution of projects, responsible for project budget spend and forecastPercent of Time -25%Team Leadership: Lead a small team of ZTD IT professionals (system owners) who support Global GMS Systems within assigned Lab capability tower, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.Ensure appropriate culture and programs are in place to attract, retain and develop the talent required to support the organization.Percent of Time -10%Works with Global System Lead aligning managed services / India capability team operating model in conjunction with ZTD GMS Global Teams and Subject matter expertise (SMEs). Approval and management of additional contract/temporary labor as needed for projects or other temporary needs. Support negotiations and administration of software licensing, service, and maintenance contracts. Accountable to the oversight of governance processes for incident and change management controls, SLAs and KPIs.Percent of Time -25%Partner with key GMS stakeholders to identify pragmatic and innovative solutions that are achievable at scale within GMS, in line with agreed Enterprise Architecture standards supporting Future GMS.Leveraging GMS Digital Maturity Assessment, leads workstream to address identified capability gaps and implement tools across GMS sites to support digital transformation goals. Includes scoping investment, resources and projects and aligning with ZTD leadership Team (LT) and Project management office (PMO) for approval.Strong communication skills with business stakeholders to articulate business value and managing cultural change supporting GMS digital strategy.Collaborate with data and analytics architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.Percent of Time -10%Partnering with key stakeholders on annual operating plans and Digital Technology Analytics Prioritization (DTAP) projects for funding in support within assigned capability tower.Percent of Time - 5%Activity supports ZTD productivity strategy, with focus on investing in data and analytics solution standards and retiring legacy systems. Prepares business cases to support the transformation from legacy to end state solutions, and oversees delivery once approved.ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSWorks closely with ZTD GMS teams and other ZTD functions including the Application Delivery and Operations, Digital & Data Analytics (DDA), 3rd party Providers, Procurement, GMS Lab Business stakeholders, IT Compliance, Infrastructure, and Project Management Office to plan, define, execute, and operate new and enhanced system capabilities.RESOURCES MANAGED:Financial AccountabilityResponsible for Lab capability tower specific ZTD Global systems, contracts with suppliers and renewals process. Following and maintaining Zoetis Standard Operating Practices.Reporting financials to Zoetis Tech & Digital GMS Project Management Office (PMO) related to Global Systems Lab (projects and support) in Apptio and PWA.SupervisionResponsible for all direct reports within Zoetis Tech & Digital GMS Global Systems Lab capability tower. Accountability for the managed services / India capability teams supporting global systems, SLAs and key performance indicators.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE University Degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems/Business Administration or other relevant fields. MBA or Equivalent Degree Preferred. 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience focusing on Lab and Quality systems and demonstrated leadership in a dynamic, growth-oriented companyTECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTSProven track record of delivering innovative and successful Lab IT systems, establishing standards for strong end - to-end program management.Lab related Software development lifecycle and application support, with a working knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems design within Lab areaSystem development methodologies and compliance requirements (e.g. SGMP)Manufacturing/supply business environment (preferably within the animal health, bio/pharma, or similar life-sciences industry).Financial Management – skills to support Project Management and Apptio forecasting.Proven ability to establish and maintain long term relationship on different levels within both ZTD and Lab business groups.Proven ability to establish and maintain long term relationship with senior leaders in both ZTD and business groups.Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively to be able to participate in business discussions and planning sessionsNegotiations Skills: Should possess strong negotiations skills working across business and ZTD teamsRelationship Management: Should maintain a strong positive relationship with the business; should be a partner and advisor and should work to maintain high customer satisfactionPHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS Office based activities but may need to travel periodically, 5-10%.This description indicates the general nature and level of work expected.
