We are accepting applications for the position of Social Care Manager to be part of a new project involving working with displaced young people who are separated from their families and places of origin. This service is based in Bagenalstown, Carlow.
The Social Care Manager carries responsibility for the care delivered to the young people living in the residential service and for the staff who deliver that care. S/he is responsible for ensuring that the care given meets with company policies and procedures and with national regulations and that the environment in which the care is given is homely, clean, safe and appropriate for the young people’s ages and stages of development.
To be considered for the role, interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
·A Bachelor or MA/MSc in any of the following fields: Social Care; Applied Social Studies in Social Care; Social Work, Social Care Management or related Social Care Qualification.
·Full, clean, manual driver's licence (valid in Ireland)
·Knowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres
·Eligible to work in Ireland.
· Minimum of 4 years post qualififcation experience, which must include 2 years supervisory experience.
