Job Title: Production Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our Manufacturing Client in Shannon, Co Clare.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide effective supervision and coaching to assigned employees to achieve quality and production goals.
* Manage product movement through the production area to meet inventory and throughput targets.
* Ensure on-time delivery to customer order due dates and manage customer expedites.
* Develop and execute daily recovery plans for missed production metrics.
* Supervise shift employees, including scheduling leave, disciplinaries, grievances, etc.
* Troubleshoot and provide cost-effective resolutions to production problems.
* Process and approve weekly payroll hours worked by employees.
* Promote a Continuous Improvement work environment.
* Implement and sustain a 6S culture.
* Support lean manufacturing techniques, such as VSM'ing, Kaizan, TPM, and employee suggestions.
* Monitor operations safety program and ensure employee compliance with safety regulations.
* Manage group training matrix and complete training plans to increase flexibility and productivity.
* Conduct shift start-up meetings to communicate plant and departmental updates.
* Provide shift-to-shift communication to keep team members working towards common goals.
* Maintain a positive work atmosphere.
Deliverables:
* Increase output from the production cell by 2% quarter over quarter.
* Increase productivity in the cell by 2% quarter over quarter.
* Deliver 2% cost reduction improvements for the cell quarter over quarter.
* Meet daily sales and ESH's targets for the production area.
* Drive past due orders to target set.
* Manage overtime and absences to targets set.
* Meet daily TOC throughput and inventory targets.
* Meet and exceed quarterly scrap, rework, and returns targets.
* Evaluate internal system accuracy for the area.
Requirements:
* Minimum bachelor's degree in Production Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
* At least 3 years of industrial supervisory or similar leadership experience.
* Able to multitask with competing priorities.
* Establishes and achieves continuous improvement goals.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience supervising in a unionized environment is desirable.
