We are looking for ambitious solicitors who have a real interest in specialising in the Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources practice area. The ideal candidate will have between 2 and 4 years of relevant experience within a large or medium corporate law firm; however, we are also interested in speaking to candidates with less PQE who have an interest in the sector. Legal experience in construction and some general experience working on finance transactions acting for both large multinational financial institutions and borrowers/sponsors would be advantageous.
The Team
A&L Goodbody's Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources team is unrivalled in the Irish and Northern Irish market. Our all-island team of specialist lawyers has decades of expertise, deep sectoral knowledge, and a commercial approach which combine to give clients the leading edge in the market. Our expertise includes Energy, Energy Utilities, PPP projects, Oil & Gas, and Mining across a range of areas.
Our work includes advising on offshore wind projects (we are advising on over 6GW of Irish offshore wind projects), electricity interconnectors (EWIC, Greenlink, and Celtic Interconnector), onshore wind and solar projects (including the largest wind and solar projects to be constructed in the State), thermal generation projects (including hydrogen-enabled gas power), green hydrogen generation, battery storage projects, and datacentres. We advise on the full lifecycle of energy and infrastructure projects and on investment, financing, and joint ventures in the sector.
We ensure that our clients keep pace with market and regulatory developments so that they are well positioned to manage challenges and exploit market opportunities. We provide solution-oriented advice to utilities, international energy companies, financial institutions, private equity, infrastructure funds, sponsors, and government.
