Head of HR for Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland

Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland provides a full suite of investment services, primarily Wealth Management, Fund Management, Debt Capital Markets and Corporate Finance. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of HR to work with our team in Dublin.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the CEO and Group Head of HR for EMEA and APAC, the Head of HR will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland (hereafter referred to as “the Firm”) by driving the regulatory commitments set by the Central Bank of Ireland, delivering the Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) which encompasses Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR) and Fitness and Probity (F&P). This role will work closely with the executive leadership team to align the regulatory framework and integrate it with wider HR initiatives. Through this working relationship, the role will develop an in-depth understanding of the firm’s highest priorities and will be responsible for the delivery of an effective HR department.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Engagements:
* Drive the IAF/SEAR and F&P frameworks for complying with Central Bank of Ireland, conduct rules and remuneration requirements across the firm.
* Managing being accountable for these frameworks on an ongoing basis to ensure the firm is meeting the spirit and letter of our regulatory requirements and streamlining processes.
* Responsible and accountable for IAF/SEAR and F&P queries and the execution of the annual certification process, as well as monitoring, updating firm changes with employee roles and responsibilities.
* Identify and understand current HR/Compliance business practices and make and implement recommendations to improve efficiency, regulatory compliance and maintain accurate employee information.
* Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to manage employee relations and ensure adherence with IAF/SEAR, F&P and other industry-specific requirements.
* Stay abreast of relevant industry regulations and employment laws to ensure the company's HR policies and practices remain compliant.
* Work with the HR team, Legal and Compliance to deliver all appropriate initiatives to support the IAF/SEAR regulations.
* Overall responsible for all facets of the IAF/SEAR and F&P controls, processes, procedures and technology applications, including documentations and controls.
Organisational Structures:
* Partner with department heads and senior leadership to assess and refine organisational structures that promote efficiency, agility, and collaboration.
* Develop and implement an effective HR strategy that aligns with the firm’s goals and objectives.
* Partner with the firm to identify opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and skill-sharing, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.
Human Resources:
* Identify business needs and deliver relevant and effective HR initiatives as required.
* Be alert and up to date with conduct risk matters, specifically the risk of harm to client interests, market integrity and/or competition in financial markets.
* Monitor trends in employment law practices and advise on application and appropriate action.
* Ensure HR processes (such as onboarding, leaver and transfer processes), systems and records are managed efficiently and are maintained to the highest standards to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
* Partner with the HR & Data Operations team to develop and implement reporting processes to gather effective management information.
* Develop and present comprehensive HR reports to senior management, committees and Board highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
* Lead and develop the existing HR team on conduct risk matters, employee relations, HR policies and procedures.
* Be responsible for developing the HR team to support and manage sensitive employee matters including exit strategies.
* Partner with global Talent Acquisition and Development team on hiring, retention, development and work force planning initiatives including performance management and succession planning.
* Support the enablement of a high-performance culture and drive initiatives to deliver sustained performance.
* Drive initiatives that foster a diverse, inclusive, and engaging work environment where all employees feel valued and have equal opportunities for growth.
* Champion a firm culture and initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion throughout the firm.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
* Proven experience of 8+ years in a senior HR leadership role within the financial services or asset management industry.
* Strong knowledge of industry-specific regulations, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated success in developing and implementing performance management systems and organisational structures.
* Track record of leading talent acquisition, development, and succession planning programs.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives to drive HR strategies aligned with business goals.
* Ability to lead and develop the HR Team to ensure it actively contributes to the enablement and achievement of the firm’s strategic goals and objectives.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in HR analytics tools.
* Professional certifications such as CIPD/ SHRM, or equivalent are a plus.
