We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our client's team in Kilcullen, County Kildare.
The ideal candidate will work in a busy workshop environment, performing maintenance, service, and repair activities on vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times and manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance, service, and repair of all vehicle types to the highest standard within scheduled times and manufacturer specifications
* Advice and reporting on vehicle faults, servicing requirements noticed while working on a vehicle, including future needs
* Recording all parts used during repairs
* Inspecting and reporting on the condition of vehicle bodywork
* Reading, understanding, and implementing technical bulletins
* Identifying cost-saving opportunities for customers through preventative maintenance recommendations
* Replacing components, parts, lubricants, and consumables, and recording usage
* Retaining, cleaning, and draining oil from warranty claims
* Returning exchange parts to the parts department when required
* Maintaining a tidy and organized work area
* Liaising with the service department on all matters
* Liaising with the parts department for replacement parts
* Advising, guiding, and training apprentice technicians
* Attending internal and external training courses
* Conducting VHC checks on all cars
* Providing excellent customer service standards
* Protecting customers' vehicles using seat covers, floor mats, etc. while in care
* Driving customers' vehicles safely and considerately at all times
* Explain technical work to customers as required
* Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and dealership standards
Key Requirements:
* Motor Vehicle Technician/Mechanic qualification
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Full, valid driver's license
* Strong organizational and planning skills
* Good oral and written English communication skills
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:30
Rates of Pay:
€45.00 - €55.00 (dependent on experience)
