THE ROLE:
The Meeting and Events Executive will proactively generate Sales for the Hotel and ensure all guests receive high standards of customer service.
THE PERSON:
We are seeking candidates with a proven track record as an experienced Meeting and Events Coordinator within Hospitality who can demonstrate ability to successfully drive sales while producing consistent and high quality service.

Situated in Co.
Westmeath, a region renowned for its significant commercial and marketing hubs, The S Hotel Group bought The Athlone Springs Hotel in 2019, having first opened its doors in 2007.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Should be highly motivated.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with people.
Capable of working on their initiative.
Proven 1-2 years of Hospitality sales experience is essential.
Competent in the use of computer systems.
Hold a drivers licence and be able to commute in order to attend showcase events
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Administrative & Operational Duties 1.
Promptly and courteously handle all inbound calls, emails, and mail.
* Record and maintain accurate data in the system; update relevant team members.
* Manage and maintain a clear filing system for all event inquiries, provisional, and confirmed bookings.
* Adhere to company health and safety policies and respond to emergencies according to procedure.
* Work closely with all hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Carry out any reasonable requests by management and participate in necessary training.
Sales & Business Development 1.
Identify and pursue potential leads to generate meetings, events, and room bookings.
* Conduct telesales, mail shots, email campaigns, and attend trade shows or networking events.
* Support the Director of Sales & Marketing with research, follow-ups, and related tasks.
* Assist in creating annual and weekly revenue plans, budgets, and forecasts; track revenue and propose strategies to meet targets.
* Handle direct client inquiries, show-arounds, and coordinate corporate events.
* Manage new and existing client relationships to maximize revenue opportunities.
Event Management 1.
Accept or turn away events based on availability, suitability, and business needs.
* Plan, organize, and deliver events (conferences, meetings, weddings, etc.)
within budget and on schedule.
* Oversee the management of a Sales Assistant and daily sales calls.
* Work with internal teams (e.g., Chef for menus, bar for entertainment) to enhance offerings.
* Continuously review and improve conference setup, service standards, and catering equipment.
