Job Opportunity: Estimations Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)
Due to increased customer demand, we are now growing our Clonmel Engineering Team. This team works with a variety of existing & new global customers in the Energy, Pharma, Life Science, Data Centre & Advanced Manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Estimation: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
2. Quantity Surveying: Perform detailed quantity surveying to determine the quantities of materials, equipment, and labor required for electrical and mechanical projects.
3. Cost Analysis: Analyse cost data, historical project records, and market trends to develop accurate cost estimates.
4. Electrical Expertise: Utilize your electrical/mechanical engineering knowledge to understand project requirements and specifications.
5. Bid Preparation: Collaborate with the bid management team to ensure that proposals meet client requirements and are competitive.
6. Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain accurate pricing and lead-time information.
7. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in the estimation process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
8. Documentation: Maintain detailed records and documentation of estimates, costs, and project-related data.
9. Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with industry standards, electrical codes, and best practices in cost estimation and electrical engineering.
10. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all estimates align with SEPAM's quality and performance standards.
Knowledge & Experience:
* Qualified Quantity Surveyor/Engineer with experience in Electrical and Mechanical works.
* 3+ years relevant industry experience.
* Skilled in Estimation, bid management, and proposals.
* Interest in working on global projects.
This position is office based in our Clonmel office 5 days a week, Monday-Friday (we finish at 2pm Friday).
