Group Financial Controller Job Description
Morgan McKinley is delighted to be working with a leading property development company who are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group Financial Controller to join their senior leadership team.
About the Role
* Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of the entire group, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing key insights to drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
* Oversee the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements, including management accounts, statutory accounts, and tax returns.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
* Develop and implement financial budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
Treasury Management:
* Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and banking relationships.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Business Partnering:
* Work closely with senior management to provide financial guidance and support business decisions.
Risk Management:
* Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
Compliance:
* Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
Ideal Candidate
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 10+ years of post-qualification experience.
* Proven experience as a Group Financial Controller or in a senior finance leadership role within a complex organisation.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and identify key trends.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
* A strategic thinker with a commercial focus and a proactive approach to business challenges.
