About the Role
As Senior HR Manager (Maternity Cover), you will play a critical role in shaping and executing HR operational activities that support our business objectives. You will lead HR operations with a focus on employee relations, leadership development, and talent management, while also overseeing HR integration activities for a rapidly growing company. You will manage and mentor a HR generalist and talent acquisition team, partner with leadership to develop managers, and drive HR strategies that support business growth. This is a part-time position (4 days per week), offering flexibility and the opportunity to work in a hybrid model from our Dublin HQ (Rathfarnham, South Dublin).
Core Responsibilities
Business Partnering & HR Strategy
· Work with the Executive team to understand business needs and objectives.
· Ensure the HR team aligns with business strategy and supports company growth.
· Develop and implement a departmental budget to ensure efficient HR operations.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
· Manage and mentor a Talent Acquisition team.
· Oversee headhunting of high-calibre candidates and ensure job advertisements and job descriptions attract the best talent.
· Conduct competency-based final stage interviews for Management/Leadership-level.
· Work with Senior Management on succession planning to support organisational growth.
Leadership Development & Training
· Provide training workshops for line managers on effective interview techniques.
· Train managers on performance management, team leadership, and objective setting.
· Implement talent management strategies, including learning and development workshops.
· Execute management training sessions and oversee effective execution of career development plans to help scale the business.
Employee Relations & Compliance
· Act as a point of escalation for employment law issues and advise managers.
· Oversee and manage disciplinaries, performance improvement plans and terminations.
· Partner with management to implement HR policies and procedures.
· Train managers on handling employee grievances and disciplinary issues.
· Ensure the Employee Handbook is up to date with Irish legislation and oversee the creation of new HR policies.
Merger & Acquisition Activities
· Successfully lead business through HR integration activities with the parent company.
· Align HR systems, benefits, and recruitment processes across acquisitions.
· Lead change management initiatives to ensure business continuity.
· Oversee the harmonization of benefits, policies, and employee handbooks.
Additional Responsibilities
Alongside the key focus areas above, you will also oversee:
* Employee Engagement – Drive initiatives to foster a positive company culture, improve communication, and support employee well-being.
* Compensation – Conduct salary benchmarking and ensure competitive compensation structures.
* Performance Management – Ensure effective quarterly reviews and support managers in building high-performing teams.
* Onboarding – Oversee and refine onboarding processes to integrate new hires effectively.
* Health & Safety – Promote a culture of health and safety compliance, ensure risk assessments are completed, and provide relevant training.
* HR Processes & Systems – Work on HR system integration, automating processes where possible, and improving data accuracy across platforms.
Requirements
· Minimum 4 years’ experience managing a HR team.
· Strong background in employee relations, leadership development, and TA.
· Proven ability to train and develop managers in a scaling environment.
· Experience in a growing company, ideally with acquisitions and HR integrations.
· Knowledge of Irish employment law (US experience is a plus).
· HR-related degree or CIPD qualification preferred.
