Job Title - Quantity Surveyor - Site based Dublin
Salary: €60K - €75K DOE
Hours: Full time 5 days

Summary of role:
To support the commercial performance of projects and profitable growth of the business. The Quantity Surveyor provides sufficient evidence to support payment claims against project targets, monitoring and reporting on the progress of projects commercially.
Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to and maintain compliance with all Health and Safety procedures within your work.
2. Assist with P&L responsibility for projects whilst working within the delegated levels of authority issued by the contract manager.
3. Support estimating and tender preparation then use the costing information as a basis for monitoring performance against pre-determined costs.
4. Provide assistance with project planning functions, help define project budget and pricing additional works/variations to contract.
5. Help determine client requirements, assess and compare options available and ensure designs meet budget and legal/quality standards.
6. Aid in the preparation of cost plans, estimates and cash flow projections, supporting procurement activities, advising on packaging and bills of quantity.
7. Co-ordinate with commercial managers with format & content of contractual correspondence.
8. Help prepare for final account meetings to resolve major accounts for measured work, loss and expense claims or contra charges, assisting the commercial position of the business and ensuring it is fully protected at all times.
9. Carry out feasibility studies, and risk/value management exercises, identifying and escalating commercial problems to the contract manager.
10. Calculate and agree monthly valuations with clients, generate invoices and assist credit control with any delayed payments.
11. Support the reporting of clear and accountable work in progress (WIP) with controls and measures that support the monitoring of performance against tender and contract valuations.
12. Ensure all costs are checked and, where necessary, inaccuracies reported to the senior quantity surveyor and/or contract manager.
What you need to have:
1. Qualification/degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
2. Five years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
3. Experience in Civils & Utilities Projects.
4. Knowledge of various contract types and legal framework.
