Site Operations Manager - County Cavan
This role requires a strong technical background in food canning and cooking processes, ideally with a technical qualification and relevant experience. In addition to operational management skills and capabilities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead plant operations and personnel to ensure safe and efficient delivery of productivity targets.
* Liaise with Group Sales and Planning to develop a robust production planning model.
* Manage customer relationships relating to service, delivery, and quality.
* Manage New Product Development initiatives.
* Utilize site resources to manage quality and liaise with Group Technical as required.
* Monitor production KPIs to achieve lowest cost and margin delivery.
* Prepare and manage annual budget requirements to measure productivity and goal achievement.
* Lead site production lines to achieve high levels of safety, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and operational effectiveness.
* Implement preventative maintenance and repairs program for all processing machines/equipment.
* Achieve plant production yields and quality goals.
* Determine staffing and training requirements in line with company standards.
* E nsure correct processing of customer requirements, delivered on time, and in accordance with customer specifications and Regulatory quality requirements.
* Communicate with Supervisors/Depts. to ensure production output and on-time delivery targets are achieved.
* E nsure necessary manpower, competence, skill, knowledge, plant, and equipment required for production targets.
* Performance Management & Annual Appraisals of direct reports.
* Enforce Company's safety, quality, and environmental policies within the plant.
* Develop a safety first culture holding reports accountable for proper execution of their safety responsibilities.
* Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements.
* Promote positive employee relations through effective conflict management and issue resolution.
* Develop and manage training plan for employees.
* Manage through KPIs, implement effective daily PIT meetings and follow up.
* Drive Continuous Improvement and total employee involvement in critical success areas.
* Establish goals and objectives for self and team to improve job performance.
* Develop and implement operational improvements by reducing non-value added activity in manufacturing processes.
