With a commitment to quality and an ever-evolving menu, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our dining experience even further.
Job Description
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu development, inventory control, staff training, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety. You will be a hands-on leader who can inspire the team, manage a busy kitchen, and bring creativity to every dish.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, plan, and implement new menu items and seasonal specials
2. Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control
3. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation in compliance with HACCP regulations
4. Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, ensuring teamwork and productivity
5. Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor food costs efficiently in order to achieve a target GP
6. Handle feedback, resolve kitchen-related issues, and ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications
1. Proven experience as a Head Chef in a fast-paced, high-quality busy hotel/restaurant
2. Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
3. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, menu planning, and recipe development
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills
5. Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during busy service periods
6. Passion for creating unique, high-quality dishes
7. Full understanding of food & labour cost controls
