RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join the team of a market leading medical devices manufacturer. This is an on-the-road position travelling throughout Ireland. Successful applicants must be comfortable working in healthcare settings and should have a relevant technical qualification. Previous experience in maintenance and repair of medical equipment and I.T hardware is advantageous but not required as full training for the role will be provided.
Requirements:
* Hold a qualification in electronic / electrical / mechanical / biomedical engineering or similar technical discipline
* Must have strong I.T. and communication skills and excellent attention to detail
* Previous experience in medical technical services (maintenance & repair) and I.T. hardware is desirable and advantageous but not essential
* Comfortable working in a clinical setting and interacting with allied health professionals such as nurses, doctors, engineers
* Be familiar with relevant E.U. Directives for medical devices, e.g. MDR, EN 60601 & ISO quality standards
* Hold a full clean driving license with flexibility to travel regularly throughout Ireland and further as the need arises
* Can problem solve, contribute to the team and build relationships
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* To engage in the technical preventative and corrective repair of equipment at different locations
* To advise and lead on the installation requirements for relevant unit
* To undertake technical and user support training
* To develop and maintain a level of technical competency to work independently and confidently
* Willingness to learn and embrace emerging technologies in the dynamic environment of modern medical devices. Be commercially aware and market orientated
* Able to travel to customer sites throughout the 32 counties of Ireland
* Work as part of a team in the achievement of team and organisational objectives, ensure spare parts stock available, records are updated and other duties that may arise
* To engage and understand the policies and procedures associated with the business.
