Key Responsibilities as Assistant Site Manager:
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
* SUPPORT ALL ASPECTS OF PROJECT TEAM FUNCTIONS (PEP, RISK & COMMERCIAL SUCCESS, FINANCIALS, PROCESSES, HSEQS, STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT, PROJECT ADMINISTRATION, DESIGN MANAGEMENT & PROJECT CLOSE OUT)
* Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction of structures, facilities, and systems.
* Coordinate project activities in accordance with company Quality System, Standard Quality Procedures, and Engineering Specifications.
* Manage the complete day-to-day life-cycle of the project from initial stages through to hand-over.
* Meet agreed objectives in areas of timely delivery, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
* Achieve a 'right first time' philosophy throughout the project life cycle.
* Manage the workflow of sub-contractors ensuring they're in line with the program of works on site.
* Attend regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, keeping them informed of progress.
* Quality management and BCAR coordination, overseeing quality control and safety matters on-site, ensuring regulations are adhered to.
* Handle technical queries when necessary and interface with the client, consultant, and architect regarding RFIs.
Qualifications/Experience:
A degree in Engineering discipline (Civil, Structural, or Construction Management) is required. Ideally, experience within a main/specialist contractor is preferred.
Strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, and effective relationships at all levels are essential.
Demonstrated knowledge of the construction industry and project execution is also crucial.
Computer literacy with MS Office and project scheduling packages is a plus.
Knowledge of safety management and quality management is a must.
Ability to lead confidently, mentor, and motivate staff under your supervision is also required.
