About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Temporary Financial Accountant to join our client's team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong expertise in payroll processing and Revenue Online Service (ROS) compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and process payroll, ensuring compliance with tax and employment regulations.
* Manage payroll-related reporting and submissions via ROS.
* Ensure accurate calculation of statutory deductions (PAYE, PRSI, USC, pension contributions, etc.).
* Prepare and file VAT, PAYE/PRSI, and other tax returns using ROS.
* Support financial audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
* Assist with general accounting tasks, including accounts reconciliation and financial reporting.
* Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* Professional Qualification: Part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA) or relevant financial certification.
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in financial accounting with a strong focus on payroll processing and ROS compliance.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, BrightPay) and strong Excel skills.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish tax regulations, payroll legislation, and financial reporting standards.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in payroll processing and financial transactions.
* Communication Skills: Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities and auditors.
