Electrician Role
Maintaining the electrical integrity of the production environment is vital in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct machine fault finding, repairs, and problem-solving to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
* Performing repairs on buildings and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
* Carrying out preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
* Troubleshooting various electrical tasks as required, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Engaging in PLC programming and troubleshooting to support automation processes.
* Maintaining accurate records of scheduled maintenance and documenting data for compliance and review.
* Collaborating with the team to identify areas for continuous improvement in processes and equipment performance.
* Skillfully reading and interpreting blueprints and assembly instructions to execute tasks accurately.
* Understanding occupational hazards and safety precautions to ensure a safe working environment.
* Responding promptly to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:
* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a qualified electrician, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
* A thorough understanding of responsibilities under Safety, Health, and Welfare regulations.
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
* An enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work, demonstrating flexibility in a shift rotation basis.
Educational/Training Requirements:
* Relevant electrical qualifications with a background in industrial maintenance.
* Computer literacy is essential; experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMM) or SAP is advantageous.
