The Role
Reporting to the Product Director, as a Product Acceptance Tester, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that AccountsIQ’s financial management software meets the highest standards of usability, functionality, and value for our users. Focused on product quality assurance, you will validate features, assess workflows, and ensure the product delivers a seamless experience for customers. What you’ll be doing
Product Quality Assurance Activities
Collaborate with product managers and developers to deeply understand product requirements, user workflows, and business goals
Validate product features and functionality by creating and executing test cases designed from the user’s perspective
Test user flows and personas to ensure they meet real-world use cases and deliver an intuitive experience
Conduct end-to-end testing of financial modules, such as General Ledger, Sales, Purchases, and Consolidations, with a focus on user value and usability
Assess new feature releases for consistency with AccountsIQ’s standards, including functionality, performance, and visual design
Investigate edge cases and complex scenarios to uncover potential gaps in user workflows or functionality
Bug Reporting & Issue Analysis
Identify, document, and prioritize product-specific bugs with clear reproduction steps, focusing on how issues impact the user experience
Participate in triaging reported issues to help assess their severity and impact on customers
Work closely with developers to resolve issues, providing insights into how fixes align with user workflows
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain thorough and up-to-date test documentation, including user-focused test cases, test plans, and results
Contribute to creating detailed release notes to help internal teams and end users understand feature updates and fixes
Share QA insights with the product team to influence prioritization and roadmap decisions
Continuous Improvement
Gather and apply user feedback from surveys, support tickets, and other sources to refine QA testing and improve product quality
Identify opportunities to optimize testing approaches and tools to ensure product quality aligns with evolving user needs
Learn and implement automation testing techniques to enhance efficiency in repetitive or high-priority areas
What you’ll need
Essential
A strong interest in financial software and user-centric quality assurance
Excellent attention to detail and a logical, problem-solving mindset
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings clearly and collaborate effectively
Basic understanding of user workflows and how software delivers value to end users
Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced, agile environment
Desirable
Experience using bug-tracking tools like Jira or equivalent
Familiarity with QA processes or testing methodologies
Knowledge of financial concepts and accounting principles
Exposure to SaaS platforms or financial management software
Interest in learning automation testing tools and frameworks
