Role Information:
* Complete general maintenance on a daily basis - from changing light bulbs to fixing a leaky tap - making the stay for our guests perfect every time.
* Work proactively with the "perfect rooms" programme, aiming to eliminate complaints from customers by ensuring everything is functioning correctly.
* Work with external contractors, supervising their work to ensure that it meets our high standards and that health and safety for our guests is never compromised.
* Reactively alter procedures and fix any issues as a result of reported incidents to reduce risk and prevent recurrence.
* Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to support all refurbishment or capital expenditure projects in a cost-efficient manner, ensuring Health & Safety standards are followed.
* Maintain a positive attitude towards problem-solving and deliver high-quality workmanship.
Requirements:
* Excellent work history in maintenance, ideally 2-3 years
* Previous experience in a hotel environment is advantageous
* Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards
* Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
* Strong relationship-building skills with customers and team members
* Flexibility to adapt to changing job demands while remaining focused
* Excellent organisational skills
* Electrical and plumbing qualifications are advantageous
* This role will require you to work in all 4 of our city center properties.
