Operations Engineer, AWS Managed Services

About the Role:
We are seeking exceptional engineers who excel in problem-solving, customer interaction, and technical prowess in SSM, Cloud Formation, Python, and other programming languages. If you possess experience as a Systems Administrator with proficiency in Linux or Windows, understanding of distributed virtual environments, and code reading/troubleshooting skills, this might be your ideal role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leverage groundbreaking technologies to deliver innovative solutions
* Troubleshoot complex application deployments, recreate customer issues, build proof-of-concept applications, and apply advanced troubleshooting techniques
* Create and maintain Cloud Formation templates and shell scripts to automate and deploy AWS resources and configuration changes
* Collaborate on utility development and tools for internal use, enabling safe and efficient operation at high scale
* Provide valuable feedback to internal AWS teams through real-world experiences
* Drive critical customer communication during events
* Contribute tutorials, how-to videos, and articles for the AWS community
* Address intricate, multi-service customer problems
Requirements:
* 1+ years of relevant experience with troubleshooting expertise in resolving straightforward Linux and network-related technical problems
* Familiarity with Networking fundamentals, including CIDR notations, OSI model, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH, TCP, routing, switching, subnets, ACLs, NAT
* Basic networking administration tasks, such as connecting a PC to the network/internet and setting FW rules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or IT-related discipline
* Experience with AWS or other Cloud technology
* Additional programming languages (Python, Java, C++, C#, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell), virtualization technologies (Hypervisors, VMware, Xen), and full 3-tier architecture (Presentation, Application, Data tier)
