Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the permanent position of Head of Commercial within the Dairy Ireland Division.
The Role: The Head of Commercial will be based in Mitchelstown and will be responsible for delivering the Commercial Strategy for Dairy Ireland.
The Dairy Ireland business has a turnover of c. €850M per year across a portfolio of Cheese, Milk Powder, Whey Powders, Liquid Concentrates and Butterfat products.
These are sold on a B2B basis to a broad range of customers around the world under the Glenor brand.

The Commercial strategy is centered on utilizing these strengths to maximise the commercial return, while providing the business with a pipeline of exciting product and market opportunities.
The role holder will be responsible for the overall delivery of this goal by providing direction and oversight to a high performing team based in Ireland, Germany and Spain.
The successful candidate will report to the Dairy Ireland General Manager and will be an integral part of the Dairy Ireland Senior Management Team.
Key Deliverables for this Role: Develop and execute commercial strategies to transform and drive sustainable margin growth.
Lead the Commercial Team by providing oversight, direction and guidance.
Dynamically manage the customer portfolio to ensure a constant focus on the areas where we can obtain a competitive advantage.
Ensure Revenue and Margin targets are achieved while adhering to the established processes and procedures.
Work closely with all Senior Management Team colleagues to ensure alignment of objectives, and to ensure operational efficiencies are optimised.
Ensure a strong pipeline of margin enhancing opportunities are brought into the business from the marketplace.
Work with other Dairygold divisions to maximise commercial synergies and develop growth opportunities adjacent to the core portfolio.
Provide detailed and evidence-based insights from the marketplace to support pricing decisions and forward pricing guidance.
Be a strong advocate for the customer within the Dairy Ireland business.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and agility to respond to changing business and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for Dairy Ireland marketing budget, including trade shows.
Candidates for this position should possess: A relevant third level degree in a Business, Science or Food related discipline.
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills.
Superior commercial acumen and a proven background in delivering commercial strategies.
Proven customer relationship management and negotiation skills, with a positive 'can-do attitude'.
Expert knowledge of all aspects of the international dairy markets.
A leadership style that is inspiring, performance-driven, engaging, and collaborative.
Excellent communication skills with proven ability to influence at all levels.
An ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing situations.
A resilient, flexible and positive mindset.
Excellent technical knowledge of dairy products.
An ability to travel overseas.
A strong understanding of financial instruments used for hedging dairy product prices.
8+ years' of experience in leading and managing sales teams to achieve targets.
