Field Service Engineer Full job description Our client is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Field Service Engineer. The role will be primarily based in Cork, with national travel to support the service team as required. Primary Duties Include: Provide quality calibrations, routine servicing and commissioning of new projects to all customers in a timely manner. Diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently. A Plan today for tomorrow attitude required for upcoming works, ensuring adequate stock availability. Collaborate with our sales department to promote and quote PST products. Provide service reports to recommend next steps for possible sales opportunities. Demonstrate effective time management and interpersonal skills. Manage field activities and implement engineering designs. Serve as the key liaison to ensure consistent customer satisfaction. Requirements, Skills, and Experience: Technical qualifications or equivalent experience in electrical and instrument fields. Experience with instrumentation equipment, RAMs, HAZOPs, AutoCAD, and CRM systems is desirable. Familiarity with calibration software, e.g., Compucal. Familiarity with service software, e.g. WorkPal Full, clean driving license. Ability to work independently, learn, adapt, and problem-solve as challenges arise. Methodical approach to product support, including diagnostics, and development and execution of test programs with a basic understanding of test techniques.
