Desktop Support Team Lead
Due to continued expansion of eir evo, we are now seeking to recruit an experienced Desktop Support Engineer who endeavours to become an integral part of our Managed Services Team, working on a dedicated team for a prestigious client, supporting an evolving and exciting multi-technology IT environment. This role requires on-site presence at the client's site on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will work on and receive exposure to different technologies, including Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Citrix, Cloud (Azure), as well as the latest Microsoft applications & solutions.
The role would involve:
1. Desktop Support for customers
2. Provisioning accounts and hardware
3. Supporting Windows Desktops, Printers, Outlook, Networks, MS Office, O365, Autopilot
4. Support Azure Virtual Desktop, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO
5. Maintain and build the current documentation in place
6. Hardware troubleshooting
7. Interacting with and managing 3rd parties
8. Imaging and Deployment, Intune
9. Manage File Permissions and Access Rights, Security/Distribution Group creation and management
10. SharePoint Administration
11. Configuration and Support of Mobile Devices
12. Team Planning management (annual leave, Rota, Weekend coverage for remote support, special events/support needs…)
13. Daily Team huddle leading
14. Bi-monthly 1-2-1 meetings with team members
15. Maintaining Team cohesion
16. SLAs focus
17. Regular ticket quality checks (ITIL conformity, content, follow-up)
18. Team members' education/training
19. Processes and documentation creation, update, and lifecycle follow-up
Experience
1. 3 - 4+ years working in a deskside support environment (required)
2. Windows Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, MS Office - Level 2 support
3. Office 365 and Virtualization experience advantageous
4. Customer Services, Call Handling
It would be preferred if the candidate had one of the following accreditations and experience:
1. Microsoft Specialist certification in Windows 10
2. A Microsoft MCP for Client or Server OS
3. CompTIA A+
