This permanent appointment, within the Student Skills and Success division of the Office for Students and Learning, offers a unique opportunity to shape a crucial student service dedicated to empowering students to navigate their academic journeys and achieve their academic goals and success.The successful candidate will lead the Academic and Programme Advisory team, collaborating closely with colleagues across Student Skills and Success, the Office for Students and Learning, and the broader university community, as well as with the Maynooth Students’ Union. The Academic and Programme Advisory Office Manager will play a key role in driving innovation within the service. The appointee will be instrumental in nurturing and developing a growing team, enhancing academic and programme advisory services, fostering strong partnerships and collaborations with university stakeholders, and providing advice, guidance, and support that equips students with accurate information, guidance, and tools necessary to excel and realise their potential during their time at MU.This role plays a central part in supporting Maynooth University’s strategic plan (2023-2028) and one of its core Students and Learning goals: “To integrate and expand high-quality, technology-enabled student support services in partnership with students.”The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience in student support and/or advisory roles within higher education, demonstrate a strong understanding of best practices in the sector, and uphold a student-centred ethos combined with a genuine passion for student well-being, engagement, and success.
