As a Vice President in Depositary Services, you will be an integral part of our operation which acts as depositary to a broad range of investment vehicles across numerous client segments. Your role is to protect the interests of the shareholders and safeguard the fund's assets in accordance with EU Regulations and the requirements of the Central Bank of Ireland. You will focus on client and stakeholder due diligence and assume responsibility for a portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute due diligence reviews of Manco / AIFM, Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency operations using a risk-based approach and following the procedures and practices established for the EMEA regional Depositary Due Diligence Function.
- Assess the governance structure, processes, and controls framework of the entity under review.
- Collaborate with Depositary Services teams across Europe in the planning, execution and governance of Due Diligence reviews where there are cross locational Mancos and Administrators.
- Support audit, controls and regulatory requirements and requests as required.
- Act as the primary contact for allocated Depositary Services clients and respective delegates.
- Prepare and deliver reporting/metrics to clients / Fund Boards.
- Represent Depositary Services at client board meetings and periodic service reviews.
- Manage client queries, issues, and internal referrals through to resolution.
- Error and breach management, working closely with the Administrator, Client / Manco, and Depositary Services Investment Compliance Monitoring Function to ensure satisfactory closure of breaches and errors including fund / investor impact assessment.
- Identify material breaches, errors, and significant matters to the Central Bank of Ireland.
- Review of fund documentation to ensure any changes to investment objectives; distributions or any other relevant updates are shared with the appropriate functional teams in a timely manner.
- Coordinate, sign-off and active monitoring of compliance with the Performance Standards Document / Service Agreements.
- Oversee the end-to-end Depositary Services operating model & Risk Assessments, working closely with the Risk Oversight Function.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and client facing skills
- Good working knowledge of UCITS/AIFMD regulatory requirements
- Experience in fund accounting or depositary services
- Organized, proactive and communicative with an ability to take initiative and assume responsibility
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education to degree standard (or equivalent) in an Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline is preferred and/or at least 7 years relevant experience in the Fund's Industry
- Strong analytical skills, particularly with regard to assessing risk materiality and impact, to help ensure that Dublin Depositary Services maintains an efficient and effective oversight model
- Strong team player, able to multi-task and work under pressure in a dynamic business environment and with excellent influencing and partnering skills
- Ability to 'join the dots' and evidence good judgment under pressure
