Job Title: Clinical Lecturer/ Clinical Tutor - Rheumatology
This appointment is available for a period of one year initially, renewable to a maximum of two further years subject to satisfactory performance.

Objective:
The principal objective of the post is to participate in the development, direction, teaching, facilitation and examinations of the graduate entry and direct entry medicine teaching programmes.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Contributing to the clinical teaching programme in the junior, intermediate and senior cycle of the four and five year teaching programmes
* Contributing to the assessment of students in the junior, intermediate and senior cycles of the four and five year programmes.
Additional Requirements:
* OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH CLEARANCE
* Garda Vetting Police Clearance (if in residence outside of Ireland for periods of 6 months or more at any stage)
Candidate Specification:
* Essential The successful candidate should: Possess evidence of registration with the Irish Medical Council Possess a keen interest in lecturing and interacting with undergraduate students Possess excellent communication skills
* Desirable It would be advantageous if the successful candidate had: Previous experience using E-learning/VLE systems Previous experience of teaching and assessing students in an academic environment Previous experience in research Completed at least 4 years of clinical experience post-internship MRCPI / MRCSI or equivalent
