Role Overview
As a Process Engineer/Project Manager, you provide support in the implementation of improvement projects through the use of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques such as: Bottleneck Analysis, Gemba, Kaizen, OEE, RCA, Takt, VSM, TPM, etc.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
* Support in the prioritisation of new improvement projects.
* Provide support to teams of subject matter experts on problem processes using Lean tools and techniques.
* Support the company with continuous improvement projects initiated by business or customer requirements.
* Lead the team to ensure our products are installed to company specifications; liaise with cross-functional teams on-site and in the office to ensure we meet project timelines.
* Provide support in the determination of best practices and the cascading of the most appropriate techniques to all areas and people involved in CI projects.
* Support and utilise Project Management methodologies to monitor CI projects.
* Provide support to the team and, when applicable, train and facilitate individuals in the use of CI tools and techniques to enable the consistent delivery of CI projects across the business.
* Communicate with the management team to keep the project aligned with company targets.
* Ensure updates are carried out as per agreed timescales and format.
* Create and manage project plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
* Work with key stakeholders to ensure that tasks are delegated to employees best positioned to complete them.
* Engage with the management team to ensure effective decisions are made when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
* Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
* Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
* Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.
* Support health & safety compliance on-site, take responsibility for own health & safety at work, and ensure all actions and decisions contribute to a safe work environment.
* Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with the public and stakeholders.
Requirements
* Previous experience in implementing CAPEX projects.
* Experience - ideally within a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Computer literate and familiar with MS Office, Project, (or similar scheduling package).
* Good knowledge of safety management and quality management.
