Job summary:
The IT Business Analyst / Developer will be responsible for identifying and Implementing software requirements by developing and maintaining core business applications and databases
The successful candidate will:
Be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of the core business applications in Tuath, including our property and financial systemsIdentify software requirements by analysing user business requirements and using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language and logicCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needsConduct formal cost/benefit analysis of user business requirementsBe responsible for Developing and maintain software applications and databases by evaluating client needs; analysing requirements; and developing software solutions as per the IT department standardsConfirm software program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codeMaintain computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and proceduresKey requirements:Degree or recognised technical diploma in Computer Science or related field.
At least 2 years' experience in software development/business analysis in commercial environment Experience including Software Design, Software Debugging, Software Development Fundamentals, Software Documentation, Software Testing).
Background in Database design, development, and enhancement within the MS SQL Server DBMS.
Experience of Microsoft .NET, VBscript and VBA and HTML.
Prior experience using B.I reporting tools.
Experience of user acceptance testing of software. Experience in Project Management is desirableExcellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
To participate on forums/working groups/committees as required.
