Group Accountant Role
We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our group finance function as a Group Accountant. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing the financial and administrative requirements of our growing portfolio.
Working across multiple legal entities, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing monthly management accounts and consolidated accounts for property and construction companies
* Supporting strategic decision-making with financial analysis and contributing to our ongoing expansion
* Overseeing administration functions, including accounts payable, payroll, and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with group policies and regulatory requirements
* SUPPORTING CASH FLOW AND WORKING CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
* Contributing to banking, treasury, and taxation activities, ensuring effective financial management and compliance
* Providing financial analysis to support decision-making and day-to-day commercial activities
* Acting as a business partner to support operational and strategic goals
* Leading the procurement and implementation of an ERP system in collaboration with Group IT and finance teams
* Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
* A qualified accountant with 3 years post-qualified experience, ideally working in industry
* Strong technical skills with experience in financial reporting and management
* Experience managing cash flow and working capital, including work-in-progress, stock, and creditors/debtors' management
* Proven success in managing finance or administration functions
* Experience with implementing or upgrading ERP/financial systems is desirable
* Strong commercial acumen and a track record of providing business partnership support
* A problem-solving mindset with a demonstrated ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
