We are currentlyrecruiting a number of Project & Senior Project Managers to deliver client side services in the WaterSector. The successful candidate will be accountable for the delivery of majorprojects with a focus on the scope, budget, schedule and risk including for amajor capital investment programme. The Project Manager will act as theContracting Entity’s representative, taking responsibility for managing theproject from planning and design through to the successful completion andcommissioning of the project. The Project Manager is responsible for deliveringthe project to time, to budget and to specification, ensuring the projectachieves all project goals
and objectives in accordance with theContracting Entity’s employer’s requirements and the corporate strategic intentfor the portfolio.
About The Role:
Overseeand monitor the delivery of the project around schedule, interface, cost,variations, contract and risk, liaising with the relevant team members andfunctions as required.
Developthe Project Execution Plan, ensuring the project is aligned to anddelivers in accordance with the Contracting Entity’s standards and methods.
Leadthe coordination of the project ensuring interfaces are considered andaddressed at all stages of the project lifecycle.
Workwith the technical teams in coordinating and managing the designconsultants and other external service providers.
Stakeholderconsultation.
Reportmonthly on the tasks throughout the project’s lifecycle includingconstruction works (during the construction phase) that have beenundertaken.
Maintainthe overall project risk register and update at monthly progress meetings.
Identifyopportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates andproducts referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
Developcost estimates.
Clientprocurement manager.
Detailed review ofContractor’s design and deliverables.
Contractmanagement.
About You:
Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in the Construction / Infrastructure sector including on relevant aviation and/or other related projects of a similar size and complexity
Relevantthird level qualification in engineeringor related discipline.
Qualification inproject management such as PMP, PRINCE II will be advantageous
Key Skills/Attributes:
Have a good knowledge & experience of Health & Safety legislation and regulations,
Have a strong knowledge & experience of project management methodologies,
Have a strong water engineering technical capability
Have a strong knowledge & experience of contract administration & delivery
Have the ability to set up ongoing procedures to collect and review information as needed.
Experience of operating on site, not just office based an advantage.
Track record of delivering construction/asset delivery projects to time and within allocated budget.
Knowledge of operating as a client’s project manager.
Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and guidance to support project delivery.
Capacity to self-motivate.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensureproject outputs that meet required standards
Planning capability and ability to use OraclePrimavera 6 scheduling system an advantage.
Report writing skills.
Computer literacy.
