**Job Title:** SOCIAL CARE WORKERS - Multiple Vacancies (Permanent, Full-time, Part-time)
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A HETAC Accredited Diploma/Degree in Social Care, Nursing (RNID), or eligibility for CORU registration.
* Experience managing challenging behavior and working with adults/children with intellectual disabilities.
* The ability to work independently and supervise staff/residents.
* A full driver's license.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Resident Care: Attend to daily needs, foster respectful relationships, promote independence, and assist with physical care, daily living, and social skills.
* Community Integration: Facilitate residents' leisure activities and ensure their engagement in the community.
* Household Management: Assist with budgeting, cooking, shopping, and maintaining cleanliness, while encouraging resident participation.
* Medication Administration: Administer and record prescribed medication.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the Foundation.
* Visitor Engagement: Foster a welcoming environment for visitors.
* Health & Safety: Proper use of aids/appliances, reporting incidents, and ensuring knowledge of emergency procedures.
* Leadership: Support and develop staff through induction, supervision, and training.
* Promote dignity, respect, and advocacy in person-centered care.
* Handle complaints according to the Foundation's policy.
Location
This role is based at Adult Residential centers in North Cork and South West Limerick, with rostered 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and weekdays.
