The Building Services Engineer deals with all aspects of Building Services to provide a responsive, quality and efficient service to residents. The role requires agile working with access to the Dublin office and a valid driving licence for business purposes.
CORE DUTIES:
Mechanical & Electrical
- Provide technical guidance and specification on heating systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, drainage systems and other M&E services as required.
- Assist with diagnosing faults and recommend suitable repairs on M&E systems.
- Manage M&E works programmes and costs.
Management of Planned, Cyclical and Reactive Servicing & Maintenance
- Undertake pre & post inspections of repair, service and maintenance work and producing detailed and accurate reports.
- Undertaking management of service contracts of M&E repairs and upgrades.
- Assist with the management of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes using a Building Asset Database.
General
- Collaborate with internal teams on property, compliance and regulatory matters.
- Liaising with OMC's, Local Authorities, Residents and other stake holders.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Suitable candidates will have a 3rd level qualification (Level 6 NFQ or above) in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. Or Plumbing/Electrical trade with 5 years minimum post qualification experience.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
* A strong understanding of Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing.
* Experience in diagnosing and managing repairs to domestic buildings.
* Familiar with Technical Guidance Documents, building compliance and Irish Standards.
* A sound knowledge of contract management and working to procurement regulations.
