Family Support Worker required to work with vulnerable families.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Engage in multi-disciplinary teamwork in assessing the needs of children and families.
* Plan, implement, and evaluate Family Support Work with children and families.
* Incorporate Family Support practice into assessments and intervention programmes.
* Document assessments and interventions in line with professional guidelines.
* Present reports and ongoing reviews to colleagues and other agencies when required.
* Keep informed of ongoing developments in relation to Child Protection and Welfare, alternative care, and Prevention, Partnership and Family Support (PPFS).
* Participate in the Meitheal process and, where appropriate, be the Lead Practitioner.
* Maintain appropriate records, reports, and statistics as required.
* Participate in training and professional development as agreed with the Project Leader.
* Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the Project Leader and BOM.
Health & Safety
* Comply with and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, guidelines, and safe professional practice and adhere to relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
* Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the service, for example, National Standards for Child Protection and Care, and comply with associated Tusla – Child and Family Agency protocols for implementing and maintaining these standards as appropriate to the role.
