Site Manager
Creighan Contracts Ltd are a small but agile company that is growing fast in the Fitout/Small construction arena. We are looking for a Site Manager to join our Management Team.
Responsibilities
1. Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals, such as surveyors, engineers, and architects.
2. Managing the contract programme.
3. Supervising construction workers and liaising with QS and Contracts Manager on appointment of subcontractors and ordering of materials.
4. Attendance of weekly design team meetings.
5. Reporting progress to clients and board members via phone calls, written reports, and presentations.
6. Buying materials for each phase of the project.
7. Monitoring build costs and project progress.
8. Conducting quality and safety inspections, including health & safety practices and regulations adherence.
9. Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings.
10. Preparing all necessary paperwork, interim valuations, etc.
11. Maintaining quality control checks.
12. Motivating the workforce.
13. Managing Health & Safety on site (including welfare facilities and clean site).
14. Snagging of works prior to handover.
15. Keeping a daily record of works on site, diary, and photographs.
16. Record keeping of any days works completed by sub-contractors.
17. Day-to-day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
18. Using specialist project management computer programmes.
19. Working on-site in all weathers, at clients’ businesses or in a site office.
20. Travel is sometimes necessary to meet with clients and sub-contractors.
21. Working hours: evening and weekend hours can be expected around deadlines.
Duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above and other duties will be expected on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications
1. More than 6 years’ experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
2. An appropriate degree in construction/building management, engineering, construction engineering management, or civil/structural engineering would be advantageous.
3. Experience of the working environment is necessary for this management position.
4. Computer literate (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook).
5. Full drivers’ licence.
6. Safe pass & manual handling.
7. First Aid At Work.
Salary based on experience.
Job Type: Specified-purpose
Contract length: 9 months.
Pay: From €1.00 per hour.
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week.
