We are seeking a Tendering Engineer/Technician to join our estimating and procurement team at our head office in Kilcolgan, Co.
Galway.
About the Role As part of our estimating team, you will play a key role in developing and submitting winning bids for civil and MEICA engineering projects in Ireland and the UK.
Collaborating closely with senior estimators and in-house engineering teams, you will contribute to the preparation of high-quality technical submissions for tenders and prequalification documents.
This will include technical essays, tender programmes, method statements, sketches, and other technical documents.
Key Responsibilities Develop winning bid proposals and technical documents tailored to tender or prequalification requirements as part of the bid team, working under the senior tendering engineer.
Liaise with site teams, third-party suppliers, and consultants to gather valuable inputs for successful bids.
Co-ordinate with the bid team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Attend bid team meetings, providing updates and clarifications as required.
Deliver high-quality tender programmes and assist site teams with updates of programmes, technical documents, method statements, and other documents during the project lifetime.
Attend site visits during the tender and construction phase.
What We Are Looking For We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who meets the following criteria:
Qualifications and Skills:
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Ideally 2-3 years of civil engineering contracting experience on site.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.
Familiarity with planning software such as Microsoft Project, P6, or Asta Powerproject, as well as AutoCAD and BIM software, is a distinct advantage.
However, training will be provided in these aspects for the suitable applicant.

Working Conditions Start Date:
Flexible, dependent on notice period.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, typically 45 hours per week, including daily rest breaks. Flexibility to work outside these hours may occasionally be required.
