RecruitmentPlus has an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing and highly successful automation specialist. Long established and now expanding, this is a great time for those with roughly 3-5 years experience to work alongside a senior engineer. You will enjoy the versatility of working on differing projects within pharma, data centres, food and beverage, environmental, and sustainability works.
While working in the larger team of engineers across the automation, mechanical, robotics, and software disciplines, you will design and develop control panel solutions to support the automation control systems using the most cutting-edge technologies. As this company also builds in-house, you will benefit from being able to see and learn from your designs going from drawings to completion.
Requirements:
* Hold a third level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science, or a qualified electrician with 3+ years relevant industrial design experience.
* Familiarity with electrical controls, AC/DC motors, servo motors, inverters, general panel equipment, drives, and pneumatics.
* Experience of using software packages such as Eplan P8, Eplan Pro Panel, AutoCAD Electrical an advantage.
* Knowledge & understanding of PLC programming and controls methodologies.
* Knowledge of Robotics, automation principles, and safety standards an advantage.
* An ambitious, confident, and professional individual with strong communication and organisational skills.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Developing 2D & 3D electrical designs for complex automation projects.
* Detailing electrical schematics and processes for build.
* Generation of budget and detailed quotations for panels and installations.
* Sourcing of electrical components for designs.
* Creating test plans and documentation packs for developed electrical designs.
* Assisting in electrical debug of systems.
* Liaising with customers & suppliers.
* Meeting project delivery deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
* Ability to take ownership of projects.
* Be a team player and fit well within a team of professional individuals.
