Collections Officer
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Galway.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of hire purchase and leasing accounts, including monitoring payment schedules, and following up on overdue payments.
* Initiate effective and empathetic communication with customers to understand their financial situations and negotiate repayment plans.
* Implement collection strategies tailored to hire purchase and leasing agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams to resolve customer inquiries, disputes, and concerns related to hire purchase and leasing accounts.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection efforts, payment arrangements, and customer interactions.
Key Requirements:
* APA Qualification is required.
* Proven experience as a Collections Officer with a focus on the financial or credit management sector.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills, coupled with a customer-centric approach.
* Ability to handle sensitive conversations and difficult situations with professionalism and empathy.
* Proficiency in using collection management software and tools.
* Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organisational and time management skills.
