Summary The IT Director (Open Source), Clinical Enablement role drives the open-source tooling definition and strategy for the SCAPE Statistical Compute Environment (SCE).
Collaboration occurs with the SCAPE project team and Enterprise Architecture.
This position oversees the SCE open-source architectural design, defines SCE open-source tooling strategy and roadmap, and collaborates with Solution Architects to evolve the SCE in harmony with other programs.
About the Role Responsibilities:
Oversee open-source architectural activities for the SCAPE SCE project.
Define the open-source strategy and architectural roadmap for the SCE.
Coordinate with teams to ensure business and technical capabilities are incorporated into the solution.
Ensure business processes and requirements drive the open source evolution.
Define logical design and information management plans for storing and handling data in future open source tooling states.
Adhere to Enterprise standards, supporting Architecture Governance.
Tailor the SCE user experience when designing new versions, ensuring Cyber Security, Legal, ethics, and compliance policies are met.
Coordinate with workstreams on the SCAPE project to deliver a quality SCE.
Monitor emerging trends in open-source technologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information technology.
Significant experience working in IT environments with Biostatistics and quantitative science data platforms in the pharmaceutical industry.
Thorough knowledge of clinical trial processes and quantitative sciences.
Strong knowledge of clinical data standards and different data modalities.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in statistical computing and data science platforms.
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Technical background with open-source languages and associated supportive tooling.
Advanced knowledge of Lean, 6 Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile methodology, and project management tooling.
Proficiency in English (oral & written).
An advanced degree and related accreditations are desirable.
