Our Client and Role Overview
Our client, a leading supplier of Pharma equipment, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will drive awareness and sales of equipment within the regulated industry to new and existing clients, while also supporting marketing initiatives.
Candidate Profile
We are open to candidates with diverse backgrounds, including sales professionals with engineering experience, engineers interested in transitioning to sales, or recent graduates in Biopharma, Engineering, etc.
Key Responsibilities
1. Organise and conduct presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, showcasing key features of our equipment solutions with our partners.
2. Identify and pursue new clients through market research, networking, and lead generation.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding of our product portfolio and services.
4. Implement strategic sales plans to meet company goals, including site visits to existing and potential customers.
5. Utilise CRM software to track sales activities, manage leads, and customer contacts.
6. Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market developments to identify opportunities and threats.
7. Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
8. Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to management.
9. Travel within Europe to equipment suppliers for product updates.
10. Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) as the commercial representative.
11. Collaborate with the sales team to develop a strong pipeline for our core equipment range.
12. Assist in developing quotations, technical documentation, proposals, and presentations.
13. Hand over projects from sales to project management, reviewing contracts and defining project scope.
14. Contribute to various business areas as needed.
Marketing Responsibilities
1. Create promotional materials such as brochures, presentations, and digital content.
2. Support internal marketing efforts.
3. Update and maintain the company website and marketing repository.
4. Maintain current company presentations.
5. Create content for LinkedIn.
6. Manage tabletop events and trade shows.
7. Execute regular mail merges to our contact database.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related fields, or relevant experience.
2. Proven success in sales, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industries.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and stakeholder engagement.
4. Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
