Job Description:
ADI’s Multi Market Power Business Unit is looking for innovative individuals with a strong technical background to join our test development team in our Limerick location. The role of a Test Engineer includes:
1. Designing and developing high performance test solutions on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for silicon validation, characterization, qualification, and manufacturing for power products such as DC-DC Converters, Temperature Sensors, Digital Power Solutions, GaN Drivers, and Protection Devices.
2. Working with design engineers in defining and developing test methodologies, test plans, test modes, SCAN, and IDDq test patterns.
3. Developing innovative solutions to meet customer and product demands.
4. Designing, developing, and debugging multi-site, cost-effective test hardware and software solutions for characterization, qualification, and production wafer probe and final test.
5. Collaborating with layout engineers in the design of Printed Circuit Boards multi-site test hardware.
6. Validating and correlating new test solutions to design bench reference data with design engineers.
7. Managing and maintaining project schedules that align with product introduction and release dates.
8. Engaging and supporting local and offshore manufacturing to maintain production yield and high quality, and resolving product and test problems after production release.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree a plus) in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline such as Electronics Engineering.
* 5+ years of experience involving:
1. Analyzing and debugging analog and digital circuits;
2. Designing hardware and software solutions for Automated Test Equipment that minimize test cost and maximize test performance;
3. Developing multi-site test programs using programming languages such as C/C++/C# or Visual Basic;
4. Using schematic and layout tools such as Cadence ALLEGRO;
5. Performing statistical data analysis using Excel, Exensio or other data analytics tools;
6. Documenting and presenting test plans and evaluation reports for power and mixed-signal products.
* Experience with NI STS, ETS-364, ETS-88, SPEA, or uFlex platforms is an advantage.
* Demonstrated performance with leading-edge high-complexity mixed-signal Power products.
